That is scary. My new insurance started March 1 . So far I have only had to deal with getting my prescriptions filled. After waiting two weeks for approval, I will find out tomorrow if they will cover my meds. These are meds for a chronic illness and I have been on them for years. It is an expensive plan, and I am not happy.

I wouldn't doubt it. The first company I was going to enroll in doesn't recognize my local hospital, just down the street from where I live. Sure they would have to take me but my charges would be higher and I wasn't going to a hospital about 20 miles away so opted for a different plan. There is a very large city to the north of me that has I think at least 4 hospitals and only 1 will accept the one I almost went with.

It costs me $727.90 a month but I get to keep my doctors. None of my doctors take covered California. My primary has been my doctor for 15 years, my surgeon, med onc, and rad onc have been with me every step of the BC journey.
