I have invasive ductile carcinoma and a tumor about 4cm. The doctor can't remove it until Nov 2nd. I am afraid that it will grow or spread elsewhere...should I be concerend?

    That's a normal panic reaction .. When first dx.. Worrying will do more harm.. Think of it like this.. Imagine how long it took for it to grow.. A wk or two is not going to make it spread.. I wish u luck.. And god bless.. Try not to worry..

    My guess-- and this is only a guess-- is that if your onc thought it would spread in a week and a half, they would order a rush operation. Theta are many factors that make certain types of breast cancer more aggressive. I started rush chemo less about 2 weeks after diagnosis, with port placement operation the week in between. I had double mastectomy 7 months later. My cancer did not spread! I wish you well with your operation!

    I also have that type. I have two tumors in my left breast. One is 2-3cm, the other is 6-7cm. I was diagnosed on September 19th and my surgery is November 3rd. This type of cancer is slower growing and they probably factored that in like they did for me. Try waiting 6 weeks!! It's been hard, but my family
