I'm almost done with therapy and a new fear has crept in. Now I'm afraid of getting other "female" cancers because my BC was estrogen positive. I'm thinking of getting a hysterectomy. Opinions?

Roz, The good thing about your BC is it was ER+ you may be taking an estrogen blocking drug. BUT.... if it will bring you peace of mind, I would get a complete hysterectomy! This is your body, and if it would save you a lifetime of worry, then it is worth it. Take care, Sharon

Thanks Sharon. I've got an appointment with my GP who is also a DO. Gonna get advice from a couple different sources.

I had a partial one years ago before my diagnosis but after my bc diagnosis, my gyn recommended I have my ovaries removed because of the higher risk. It brought me much peace of mind. I think we have to be proactive. Good luck!
