My grandmother had breast cancer, but no one else in the family did. Does this mean that I am not likely to get breast cancer?

There is evidence that shows cancer may be hereditary, but if you are unaware of anyone else having cancer in your family you should be fine. My mother has breast cancer and my sister was very worried for herself. There are tests that can be taken. For the most part be proactive and have physicals conducted. If cancer does develop it is best to catch it early.
