Can you swim in a pool or lake in between chemo treatments?

    Celien, My non-doctor answer would be no. Your immune system is weakened and you are vulnerable to viruses and infections. You have no idea what little beasty's are floating around in lake water.... same thing with a pool. This is a great question for your oncologist to answer. Take care, Sharon

    When I wanted to go to the Colorado river they suggested I sit un the air conditioned bar amd watch them. The air conditioned part was not them but it was whole lot more pleasent than 108 degrees. They just didn't want me to do anything that would slow my treatment down. Lord knows I didn't want to do chemo longer than I had too.

    My oncologist said no, but I could go in my own personal hot tub for short time. But no public pools or spas.
