Yes, great advice from Sharon. I think it's essentional to get a bone density scan. I had one just before I started Tamoxifen. I found out I have osteoporosis. It runs in my family but I'm sure chemo had contributed to it. I'll be going to my dr next week and I'll decide wheather I'm going to do a once a year infusion or monthly medication. I take vitamin D & calcium as well. :)

Citrical and vitamin D. (I have to take 3 Citricals and 5000 IU of Vit. D a day) If you have osteopenia (pre-osteoporosis) or osteo. your oncologist may put you on Boniva or one of the other osteo. drugs. Your oncologist may suggest a Dexa Scan to check for osteopenia or osteoporsis. I have osteoporosis from chemo. TALK TO YOUR ONC. ABOUT THIS! Take care, Sharon
